Gratitude for Laughter
My husband knows that one of his most important jobs is to help me laugh. I tend to be all serious and stuff on my own, but I really do LOVE to laugh. I NEED to laugh! We all do. It is good for the soul.
Have you heard a baby’s laugh recently? If you haven’t heard it in person in a while, look up some baby laughter videos on YouTube. It is a guaranteed mood-lifter! There is hardly anything purer than a baby’s laugh; it comes straight from their bellies to their faces, in response usually to something completely silly. What a wonderful gift God gave us in the form of this outward response! And then he made it contagious!
Families, do you laugh together often? Find something good and silly for your family to giggle at and enjoy together this weekend. Maybe even task each member of the family to come to the dinner table with a joke to tell! (And if you do, share some of those jokes in the comments so that we can laugh, too!)
