Gotcha Day

Three years ago today, Kevin and I met Carlos and Brandon face to face in Colombia, and they became a part of our forever family. It has been an intense three years, but there have been many victories to celebrate! We praise God for allowing us to be part of Carlos and Brandon’s story, and we pray that the best parts of their story are yet to unfold.

Our adoption agency, All God’s Children International, made the below video that we will treasure forever.

The above photo was taken by one of our adoption agency staff members, through the window into the little room where the boys were first brought to us. It was so surreal. I cannot even imagine what must have been going on in the boys’ minds.

I do not believe that everyone is called to adoption, but I do believe that everyone can be involved in orphan care in some way–even if it’s just supporting and encouraging adoptive families (We need it!!). Thank you to the many, many people who have been part of this journey with us. Lives are being changed.
